Middletown. Crystal Run Healthcare offers virtual diabetes self-management and prediabetes education classes
Crystal Run Healthcare will once again offer free Diabetes Self-Management and Prediabetes Education Classes, presented by Danielle Krantz, RN, CDCES, a Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist.
Classes are being held virtually through Zoom.
The Diabetes Self-Management Classes at Crystal Run Healthcare provide education for individuals with diabetes and teaches the skills and knowledge needed to maximize their role in managing blood glucose and optimizing overall health. This program is recognized by the American Diabetes Association and topics are covered over several sessions.
Upcoming classes will be held on Tuesdays from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.:
Sept. 19: What is Diabetes/Preventing Complications
Oct. 17: Nutrition
Nov. 14: Medications/Monitoring Blood Glucose
Dec. 5: Emotions and Support/Exercise/Changing Habits

Prediabetes Education
The Prediabetes Education Class at Crystal Run Healthcare provides education for individuals with prediabetes. In just one class, you’ll learn valuable skills and knowledge necessary in order to make changes to prevent or delay the onset of Type 2 Diabetes. The program includes topics on nutritional management, exercise and weight loss.
