Library receives grant for seating upgrades
Warwick. The grant was for $20,000.

The Albert Wisner Public Library recently announced that it won a $20,000 grant through New York State’s educational “bullet aid” funding, secured with the help of Assemblyman Karl Brabenec (R-98). According to the library, the grant paid for new diner booth-style seating on the lower level of the building.
Library Director Lisa Laico said, “The library board, staff, and I are very grateful for this grant, which helped us transform an under-used space into a welcoming area that’s now constantly occupied by tutors and their students, professionals who work remotely, and families taking a moment for a snack. Assemblyman Brabenec is a longtime, steadfast advocate of public libraries, and his support is invaluable to helping us adapt to the community’s needs.”
