GWL American Legion hosts 10th Mountain Division

Three bus loads of the Light Infantry Unit of the U.S. Army were the special guests at the Greenwood Lake American Legion Post 1443 for a barbecue on Aug. 4. The soldiers have been training cadets at the U.S. Military Academy at West Point this summer in various military weapons and tactics. The unit is stationed at upstate Fort Drum. The sons will be going to Afghanistan later this year. While at the Legion Post in Greenwood Lake, they played horse shoes, darts, pool and enjoyed lunch prepared by the Sons of The Legion and members of the Legion.
