Magic Music Entertainment expands into Warwick market

WARWICK — Town of Warwick Deputy Supervisor James Gerstner and members of the Warwick Valley Chamber joined Samuel Opher, owner of Magic Music Entertainment, and his public relations director Catherine Bailey for a ribbon cutting ceremony outside the chamber’s “Caboose” office on South Street.

Based in Middletown, the firm recently joined the chamber as it expands its entertainment services in the Warwick Valley.

Opher, a native of Philadelphia, established Magic Music Entertainment more than 25 years ago. His company offers a variety of entertainment for parties and special occasions, ranging from DJ parties and magic shows to movies under the stars and inflatable rentals.

Chiropractic Life Center opens in new location

WARWICK — Chiropractor Dr. Ann Studer has relocated her office to the Bradner building at 10 Colonial Ave.

Until last year, her Chiropractic Life Center was located in Warwick’s Clocktower building at 65 Main St.

“I wanted to accommodate my patients, especially those experiencing physical difficulties, with a ground level office,” said Studer, “and this new and easily accessible office with its comfortable and spacious waiting room has been a welcome change for everyone.”

Studer, who lives in nearby Highland Lakes, N.J., with her daughter Vivian, 2, has been providing family chiropractic care in Warwick for almost 15 years.

Studer earned her bachelor of arts degree at Briar Cliff College in Sioux City, Iowa, where she graduated magna cum laude. She then earned an incentive scholarship to attend New York Chiropractic College in Seneca Falls and was awarded a Doctorate of Chiropractic in 1997.

Studer has served as adjunct faculty with Marist College’s Integrated Studies Program teaching alternative and complimentary healthcare. She is also certified as a facilitator of Integrated Feeling Therapy.

“Chiropractic Life Center,” said Studer, “works within the vitalistic principles and philosophies that govern life and create wholeness.”

Lady Luck Estate Buyers celebrates grand opening

WARWICK — On Friday evening, Feb. 1, local officials and members of the Warwick Valley Chamber of Commerce joined Barbara Sklar and her family and friends for the grand opening of Lady Luck Estate Buyers.

At the beginning of this year Sklar moved her business, formerly known as Gallery of New York, from the Village of Florida to 154 Route 94 across from ShopRite

Local residents may also recall that the shop, which buys and sells all precious metals, jewelry, antiquities, collectibles, memorabilia, vintage and fashion apparel and art, had also been located in the Village of Warwick.

Guests who attended the grand opening were treated to Veuve Clicquot Champagne, fresh strawberries, Godiva and other chocolates, homemade Red Velvet and Stromboli.

“We are thrilled to be back in town with a new location and new name,” said Sklar. “I honestly feel happy, thankful, incredibly blessed and honored to have been able to launch my store opening with so many wonderful supportive friends, family, community officials, Chamber of Commerce members and clients. Thank you for your support.”

Sklar promises that her business will pay the highest price for gold and anyone interested in fund raising or earning extra money can host a “Gold Party” at their home or another location including her store. “Our hosts can receive an average of from $450 to $2,500 for a two-hour party,” she said.

Sklar suggested that many of her customers who come into the store to sell unwanted items of jewelry often find similar but perhaps not as valuable replacements that they can purchase at a fraction of the money they receive.

Business hours for Lady Luck Estate Buyers are Monday to Friday from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., Saturday 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Sunday from noon to 4 p.m.
