Florida Public Library budget passes
Florida. The proposed tax levy was set at $520,657.
On Thursday, April 11, voters approved the Florida Public Library’s 2024-2025 budget. According to the Library, the proposed tax levy of $520,657 received 118 “yes” votes and 12 “no” votes.
During the budget vote, voters also reelected three trustees. Diane Arcieri received 123 votes, Ron Kamrowski received 121 votes, and Stella Kosior received 120 votes. Each member was reelected to full three-year terms.
Library Director Meg Sgombick said, “We are grateful for the continued support our community has shown the library and we look forward to providing the programs and services they need now and in the future.”
