Greenwood Lake. Members of Greenwood Lake American Legion Post 1443 held a luncheon for veterans from Montrose veterans hospital on Saturday, Nov. 16. The veterans were served chicken, turkey and meatloaf with the trimmings, prepared by the Sons of the Legion and served by the Legion's Ladies Auxiliary. The veterans played bingo after the meal. Three times a year, the Legion hosts veterans from the hospital for food and entertainment. More than $300 was given to the veterans in bingo prizes.
