WARWICK — Faith Van Orden, 8, would like to be a geologist or a wildlife biologist one day. But she estimates her college tuition, class of 2025, will be in the neighborhood of $150,000.
So, she reasoned, she had better start saving now.
During much of the summer, Faith will be managing a lemonade stand outside her home on First Street in the Village of Warwick.
So far she's able to earn about $20 on a Saturday or Sunday and she is looking forward to doing even more business during the annual Sidewalk Sale this weekend.
One customer, a college professor, was so impressed that she took a photo of Faith to demonstrate an example of entrepreneurship to her business class.
