WARWICK — Cub Scout Pack No. 177 celebrated its Blue and Gold dinner, the colors of the Cub Scouts, at the Warwick Middle School cafeteria on Friday, Feb. 19.

The event, hosted by Cub Master Brian Dunn, brought families together to celebrate the birth of Scouting on Feb. 8, 1910.

The Rev. Jack Arlotta, pastor of the Church of St. Stephen, the First Martyr, gave the invocation.

The high point of the evening was the Arrow of Light Crossover Ceremony for the Weblos II when they walk over a bridge symbolically transitioning into becoming a Boy Scout.

The arrow symbolizes being led into the final Cub Scout trail, the Bridge to Scouting. The evening ended with a presentation by Native American dancers.

Boys in kindergarten through 5th grade who are interested in joining Cub Scouts, should contact Dunn at brian_dunn@optonline.net or by calling 987-7129.
