WARWICK — Warwick Valley High School is proud to select senior Jillian Wagner as this week's "Student–Athlete" through the program sponsored by the Bill Garcia Allstate Insurance Agency.
Jillian is being recognized for her outstanding work in the arts, specifically drawing and painting.
She won two gold and two silver medals at the Scholastic Art Show in New Paltz.
Jillian will be hosting an art exhibition at the Buckbee Center as her Senior Project.
Jillian is an outstanding student whose grade point average is a 91.45. She is enrolled in the Advanced Placement Art History Class at Warwick Valley High School for college credit.
She is active in the Warwick High School Art Club and has participated in the Warwick Chair Action and Design club, which raises money for the local art scholarships.
She plans to attend the Audio Technology Program in Chelsea in Manhattan to become a certified audio engineer.
Jillian is the daughter of Jim and Karen Wagner of Warwick.
