Applefest 2015 T-shirt design winners announced

Applefest 2015 T-shirts, featuring the design of Connor DeHaan, will be sold at the festival on Sunday, Oct. 4, at the Chamber of Commerce Caboose office on South Street in the Village of Warwick.

Here is the Applefest T-shirt design contest first-prize adult winner Connor DeHaan. His design will be featured on Applefest 2015 t-shirts, which will be sold at the festival on Oct. 4.

WARWICK — The Applefest 2015 Committee has announced the winners of this year's 27th Anniversary T-shirt Design Competition, and expressed its appreciation to all who submitted a design.

Adults• In the adult category, first prize was awarded to Connor DeHaan, whose design will be printed on the Applefest 2015 T-shirts and sold at Applefest on Sunday, Oct. 4.

He will also receive a $50 Warwick Merchant Guild Gift Certificate.

• The second-prize winner is Connie Hegner, who will receive a $25 Warwick Merchant Guild Gift Certificate.

• The third prize winner is Erin Clark, who will receive a $10 Warwick Merchant Guild Gift Certificate.

Merchant Guild gift certificates may be used at a wide variety of stores, restaurants, and businesses in the Town of Warwick.

Students• In the student category, first prize was awarded to Shirley Chen, who will receive a $20 Warwick Merchant Guild Gift Certificate.

• The second prize student winner is Grace Yurchuk, who will receive a $15 Warwick Merchant Guild Gift Certificate.

• Third prize student winner is Alyssa Disy, who will receive a $10 Warwick Merchant Guild Gift Certificate.

See all entriesBefore Applefest, all T-shirt design contest submissions will be displayed in the window of Akin's Pharmacy on Main Street.

After the festival, all entries will be available for pickup at the Chamber of Commerce Caboose on South St. until Nov. 6.
