Apple Valley Pharmacy celebrates four-year anniversary

WARWICK — June 17 marks four years since Doctor of Pharmacy Ann Marie Cloutier, a graduate of Warwick Valley High School, Northeastern University and the University of Rhode Island, acquired Apple Valley Pharmacy at 44 Ronald Reagan Boulevard in Warwick's Merchant Square Mall just off Kings Highway.

On Wednesday, June 17, Town of Warwick Supervisor Michael Sweeton and members of the Warwick Valley Chamber of Commerce joined Cloutier and her staff to celebrate the important milestone.

The team"Along with my pharmacy team," said Cloutier, "I've focused on what the community needs are in a pharmacy in this day and age. Offering specialty services that create ease when filling prescriptions, providing free local delivery and specializing in preparing compounded medications to suit a patients individual health needs have been well-received conveniences for our customers."

Staff member Patricia Lurye Dempster, R.Ph., M.S. added, "Keeping customers educated about their medication options and counseling on proper compliance are vital components of leading them to good health. Programs like SyncRx and our pill packaging program offer the ease and comfort that our customers often need when on a strict regimen of maintenance medications."

Compounding medicine for people and pets

The SyncRx program, for example, coordinates all of a patient's prescriptions to be available at the same time each month. The Pill Packaging service, added Cloutier, is an easy-to-open, color-coded custom pill packaging system that makes pill taking more convenient and organized for patients who prefer to remain independent and self-sufficient.

Apple Valley Pharmacy is an independently owned, full-service pharmacy specializing in compounding for people and pets as well as the standard expected dispensing of retail prescriptions.

The Apple Valley Pharmacy pharmacists and pharmacy technicians state that they focus on providing knowledgeable advice, taking time to work with customers to discuss their medical concerns, and finding alternative products and solutions that best address their needs.
