Going bald for a cause

Freddie’s Pub in Warwick was host to a head-shaving extravaganza last Saturday. It was a St. Baldrick’s Event, a moving fundraiser in which volunteers allow their heads to be shaved for pledge money. The participants - nine men and boys and one woman - Tracy Muscarella - raised $800 and expect to add another $200 in the next few week. The event was coordinated by Tom McManus, who was first up. Over the past six years, St. Baldrick’s has raised more than $12 million for the search for a cure for the cancers that afflict children.
