Free seminar to provide kidney education

Middletown Orange Regional Medical Center will host a free kidney education seminar at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 20, at the Community Health Education Center at 110 Crystal Run Road in Middletown. Board Certified Nephrologist Rachel Colvin, D.O., will discuss aspects of kidney function, disease, and chronic renal failure. According to the National Kidney Foundation, 20 million Americans, about one in nine adults, have chronic kidney disease. Another 20 million are at increased risk for developing the disease. Early detection can help prevent the progression of kidney disease to kidney failure. Refreshments will be provided. Preregistration is required.
