Greenwood Lake. Cove Castle Restaurant celebrates grand opening of Greenwood lake Tours
Cove Castle restaurant and marina proprietor Bob Pereira and partner Sandra Frank recently announced the launching of Greenwood Lake Tours.
Joining forces with Greenwood Lake Marina and beginning this coming spring, their new 20-seat tour boat will offer one-hour tours of Greenwood Lake.
The tours will be held Wednesday through Sunday and the boat will also be available for private events.
To celebrate the official launching this fall, Michael Johndrow, executive director of the Warwick Valley Chamber of Commerce, joined Cove Castle Manager Andrea Muster, operating partners Bob Pereira and Sandra Frank along with Elena Dykstra, owner of Greenwood Lake Marina, for a ribbon-cutting ceremony.
And in 2020 Greenwood Lake Tours, weather permitting, will leave and return from the Cove Castle restaurant and marina at 13 Castle Court on Greenwood Lake’s east shore.
The historic site where Cove Castle is located, originally housed a 1920’s Ice House followed by Morins Boathouse, circa 1930’s, where Babe Ruth had his boat built, to the landmark Castle Tavern from 1937 to 2010
The building and property was completely renovated as a 90-seat restaurant marina, with indoor and outdoor dining and bars with spectacular views of Greenwood Lake.
Cove Castle at Cove Point Marina also boasts a 53-slip marina for seasonal rentals as well as guests arriving by boat for dining.
The Greenwood Lake Marina, a partner in Greenwood Lake Tours, is located on Lakeside Road on the west shore of Greenwood Lake. It is the largest marina on the lake.
