Holiday shopping can be hectic, but it’s also a great opportunity to support Orange County businesses and to thank them for the positive impact that they have on the community.
Orange County Executive Steven M. Neuhaus encourages residents to support local businesses, especially during this very different holiday season. Money spent at local shops, restaurants and stores helps to create successful downtowns and a thriving economy for Orange County.
“Holiday shopping is certainly different this year due to the continuing COVID-19 pandemic. One option is to shop locally in person or online by purchasing gift cards to your favorite stores and restaurants,” Neuhaus said. “The time and money invested in local shops and businesses is well worth the effort. The people who own and operate these establishments are our friends and neighbors, and many have faced challenging times during the past 18 months. It benefits us all to patronize local businesses as much as possible these last few weeks of 2021.”
“Tis the Season to Spend Local! Now, more than ever, local businesses need your support,” added Amanda Dana, Orange County’s Director of Tourism. “Whether you’re looking for delicious treats for the holiday table or boutique style gifts, Orange County has it all. Make it a fun day of exploring our great cities and downtown villages and finding something special for everyone on your gift list.”
