Kaliada Jewelry and Gifts Boutique celebrates first anniversary

The first anniversary is an important milestone for any business.

That’s especially true for cancer survivor Kally Padilla, founder and designer of Kaliada Jewelry, who took a leap of faith last October, Breast Cancer Month, and opened the doors to her store at 25 Main St. in the Village of Warwick.

On Friday, Oct. 4, Town of Warwick Supervisor Michael Sweeton, Mayor Michael Newhard and members of the Warwick Valley Chamber of Commerce joined Kally Padilla, her husband Rey, daughter Daniella and staff member Laura Catli to celebrate the shop’s first anniversary with a ribbon cutting.

After being diagnosed with cancer in 2009, she decided to step down from her corporate career to focus on getting well and to be with her family.

“I always wanted to have my own business,” said Padilla, “so In 2012 I started selling jewelry from other designers online. I chose jewelry because it's a product that would help me connect with women. I wanted to share my story with the intention to help others and bring hope.”

Padilla stated that her cancer experience has taught her to live with intention and to seek daily inspiration that would help her to create the life of her dreams. And that this is the message she tries to send to women through her jewelry and the meaningful products she offers.

Padilla is pleased to report that Kaliada Boutique quickly became the go to place for women to find beautiful jewelry, as well as a selection of sustainable and inspirational specialty gifts; including stationery, doTerra essential oils, women accessories and gifting products to support those living with the ongoing impact of cancer.

“I am very thankful for all the support from Warwick locals,” she said. “I think Kaliada Boutique could have not been in a better place and I’m honored and happy to see in such a short time the amount of repeat customers coming to the store.”
