Florida. Barrel 28 restaurant hosts grand opening ceremony
Barrel 28 restaurant, which first opened this year in June, has already earned a great reputation for its excellent and wide variety of food and cocktails.
On Wednesday, Oct. 27, state, county and local officials along with members of the Orange County, Warwick Valley and Florida Chambers of Commerce joined owners Tony Sylaj and Marc Lombardo, their staff, relatives and friends for an official grand opening and ribbon cutting ceremony.
Owner Robert Knebel, a well-known developer, known for working with the Village of Florida to continue to add to the community’s charm, was away at the time and was represented by his son Harold.
Partner Tony Sylaj is also the owner of Grappa Restaurant on Railroad Avenue in the Village of Warwick.
“We offer a very wide variety of food and cocktails for everyone and have a very casual friendly vibe,” said partner Marc Lombardo. “Barrel 28 offers an American food fare which ranges from burgers to salads, pasta, steak, seafood and delicious pizzas.”
The restaurant also has 28 beers on tap which include all local breweries in the area, an extensive wine list and also signature cocktails.
“We are very proud,” he added, “to announce, in addition to our current professional kitchen staff, we have hired chef Marcell who won the Iron Chef competition on TV.”
Barrel 28 has two main dining areas, an outdoor patio and a very large welcoming bar area. It can also host private parties for all occasions.
