Mr. Dog Restaurant, located at 69 Brookside Ave. in Chester behind the T-Mobile, is a family restaurant, created in 2019, and recently reopened.
On Tuesday, Aug. 10, members of the Warwick Valley Chamber of Commerce joined Mr. Dog owner Ruben Godinez, Team Manager Manuela Longas and staff to celebrate the restaurant’s grand opening.
“Meet Mr. Dog,” said Godinez, “the new best way to honor the classic spirit of the hot dog but with a touch of world flavors, where you will find a delicious variety of hot dogs, wings, tacos and empanadas, giving you the option to accompany them with your favorite alcoholic drink or non-alcoholic at our bar.”
Although the restaurant is known for its hot dogs, the menu expands into traditional and classic cuisines, serving up tacos, empanadas, arepas, wings and a variety of specialty fries.
Customers can dine in or take-out and they can combine their favorite comfort meals with Mr. Dog Mac N’ Cheese that’s topped off with bacon, or a line of hot dogs inspired by authentic worldly cuisine. The Chori Dog is topped with Mexican sausage and cheese, and the Mr. Dog Nachos is piled high with beef chili and pico de gallo for a fresh twist.
The full bar serves bottled beer, margaritas and more mixed drinks, both alcoholic and non-alcoholic.
