Bertolini & Co. Home and Garden hosts grand opening
WARWICK - On July 8, Bertolini & Co. Home and Garden, an interior design studio and antique shop, celebrated the official grand opening of its studio at 80 Main St. in the 200-year-old 1810 House owned by the Historical Society of the Town of Warwick. Michael Bertolini heads the design and management team of the firm comprised of Jane Glazman and Sheila Warner. The team intends to focus on design elements that emphasize comfort, accessibility, style and grace. Bertolini has strong community and design roots in Orange County. For the past 18 years he has served as Curator of the Historical Society of the Town of Warwick. Bertolini also lectures frequently on Architecture and Design at Orange County Community College. Among his accomplishments in this area are the restoration of Hill Hold in Montgomery, Brick House in Montgomery and the Seligman Museum in Sugar Loaf. Bertolini has also served as principal designer in the restoration and decoration of many private homes throughout the County. Most recently he and Jane Glazman oversaw the design and renovation of the old Wisner Library building in the Village of Warwick, now renamed the A. W. Buckbee Center of the Historical Society of the Town of Warwick. Bertolini is well known in design circles both here in Orange County and internationally. In the early 1960’s he opened a shop in Manhattan. During those years he earned an international reputation as an interior designer by overseeing the décor of properties in Thailand, France, England and Italy. Bertolini’s work ranges from townhouses in Manhattan, to mansions in Texas, to beach houses in California. Bertolini & Co., will offer a full-range of interior design services for home and garden including; wall, floor and window treatments, art, wall décor and mirrors, upholstery, tables, architectural elements, decorative accessories, furniture, lighting, garden design, pots, planters and urns, and tabletop. Hours are Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and on Sunday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. For additional information call 986-1810.
