A new flag on Main Street

Earlier this year Warwick citizen Pat Colman and Mayor Michael Newhard called our attention to the fact that the flagpole atop the Hudson United Bank (HUB) facility on Main Street never flies a flag. And frankly, hardly anyone questioned, including bank employees, even knew the pole was there. Mayor Newhard, however, recalled that the flagpole was used years ago when the building was home to the Warwick Savings Bank. Last week, The Warwick Advertiser received calls from both Mayor Newhard and Colman that Hudson United Bank had installed a new flagpole and that the flag is now proudly flying over its Main Street facility.
