William Van Riper

William Van Riper of Warwick entered into rest Thursday, Nov. 15, 2012, after a short illness. He was 77 years old.

The son of Roy and Bessie Organ Van Riper, he was born June 8, 1935, in Amity.

Bill was retired from Orange County Plumbing Supply where he worked as a salesman. He also was an honorary member of the Pine Island Fire Department.

A member of the Orange County Antique Auto Club, Bill enjoyed his antique car and attended various car shows in the tri-state area.

Bill is survived by his wife Angeline Van Riper at home; daughter Linda Meyers and her husband Tommy of Middletown; son Leonard (Lenny) Van Riper and his wife Rhonda of Cabot, Vt.; son-in-law John Sinsabaugh of Warwick; grandchildren Jack Sinsabaugh and companion Mo Mesina of Mt. Hope; Joseph Sinsabaugh and his wife Jackie of New Hampton; Sarah Rogers, Jesse Atkinson and Richard Atkinson, all of Vermont; and Jamie Mann of Garnerville; great-grandchildren Riona and Colin of New Hampton and Jenna, Cody and Jace of Vermont; sisters Erma Mulqueen and her husband Dean of New Hampton and Clara Bolzan of Goshen; brothers–in–law Joseph Sliwa and his wife Joyce of Goshen and Henry Sliwa of Florida; sisters-in-law Genevieve Noger of Warwick and Josephine Romanoski of Washingtonville; and several nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his brothers Roy and John and his sister Martha.

A funeral Mass was held Nov. 17 at St. Stanislaus Church in Pine Island.

Burial was in St. Stanislaus Cemetery.
