Wanda C. Giuffrida

Wanda C. Giuffrida of Warwick passed away on July 23, 2023. She was 107 years old.

Born in Mahwah, N.J., on Nov. 29, 1915, she was the only daughter of eight children of Boleslaw and Wladyslawa (nee Ezczynska) Suleski.

Wanda worked as a lab technician with Pfizer in Pearl River prior to her retirement. She was an avid bowler, tennis player, golfer and traveled the world with her beloved husband John.

Her other great loves were her family and her faith. She was an extraordinarily healthy person in mind, body and spirit, living a vibrant life to her last day.

She is survived by her nieces and nephews: William Suleski, Nancy Williamson (Robert), Michael Suleski (Mary), Arlene Yarcich (William), Ann Macauley, Sharon Manfre, Carol Versen (John), Christine Richter (George) and Anne Suleski (Roger). She was predeceased by her husband John; seven brothers: Stanley, Joseph, Alexander, Adam, Henry, Stephen and Anthony Suleski, as well as her nephew Roger Suleski.

A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated July 31 at the Church of the Immaculate Heart of Mary, 47 Island Road, Mahwah, N.J. Interment followed in Maryrest Cemetery, 770 Darlington Aven. Mahwah, N.J.

The family would like to thank the staff at St. Zita’s Villa in Monsey, Mt. Alverno Center in Warwick and The Promenade at Tuxedo for the wonderful care that Wanda received.
