Vincenza “Jennie” LaMacchia of Washingtonville passed away on July 17, 2023, at Garnet Health Medical Center in the Town of Wallkill. She was 94 years old.
The daughter of Camello and Maria (Dai) Costello, she was born on Aug. 18, 1928, in Brooklyn.
Jennie was a Lab Technician for Tuxedo Hospital in Tuxedo. She was a member of Italian–American Club in Monroe, Washingtonville Seniors and Catholic Daughters of America.
Left to cherish her memory are her loving children: Frank LaMacchia Jr. and his wife Eileen of Naples, Fla.; Maria Beams and her husband Ted of Blooming Grove; and Geralyn Griffith and her husband Ray of New Port Richey, Fla.; sister Rose Sangorgi of Bethpage; grandchildren: Frank III, John, Melissa, Tamara, Ted Jr., Amanda and Mark, and by her 11 great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Jennie was also predeceased by her devoted husband Frank LaMacchia Sr., siblings: Joe Costello, Nick Costello, Charles Costello, Fannie Costello and Mary Bakum.
Services will be held at a later date.
Cremation took place at Cedar Hill Crematory in Middle Hope.
