Thomas Andrew Sutherland passed away Sunday, July 19, 2020 surrounded by family. He was 69 years old.
He was born to parents Grant Sutherland and Shirley Storey-Sutherland on March 28, 1951, in Beaumont, Texas.
He is survived by brother Grant Sutherland and sister Jill Loiko and predeceased by brother Jay Sutherland.
He was married to Susan (Czarniewy) Sutherland, his wife of 46 years. Thomas is also survived by his son Tyler Sutherland and wife Stefanie, daughter Carly Baer and husband Brian and son Kellen Sutherland and partner Laura Falloon. He is also survived by five grandchildren: Trysten, Anna, Addie, Lilah and Jaxon.
Thomas graduated from Warwick Valley High School and received a bachelor’s degree in business and economics from Marietta College in Marietta, Ohio.
He worked in the flavor industry for more than 40 years where he was widely loved and respected by his colleagues and clients.
He was an avid golfer, runner, and sports enthusiast who loved spending time with family and close friends.
