Shirley E. Shunoski of Chester passed away on Saturday, July 17, 2021, at Garnet Health Medical Center in the Town of Wallkill. She was 86 years old.
The daughter of William H. and Dorothy Healey Jones, she was born on June 12, 1935, in Tuxedo.
Shirley was a saleswoman for Calvert Coat Factory in Chester. She was a devoted member of the Warwick Valley Humane Society.
Survivors include her children: Paul Decker and his wife Rita of Pennsylvania; Shirley Hunt of Chester; and Brenda Mentz and her husband Paul of Saugerties; her siblings: Thomas Jones of Warwick; William Jones of Middletown; Janis Jaeger of Cornwall; Dorothy Hunt of Maybrook; Jane Wood and her husband Bill of Warwick; and Rosie Jones, also of Warwick; and by many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Shirley was predeceased by her loving husband Anthony Shunoski, and her daughters Sharyn Decker and Kathleen Berg, and siblings Ronald Jones, Gary Jones, Gloria Casey and Shelia Jones.
Visitation was held with a Chapel Service on Thursday, July 22, at Smith, Seaman, & Quackenbush Funeral Home, 117 Maple Ave., Monroe.
Interment followed at St. Columba Cemetery in Chester.
