Robert J. McCaffrey

Robert J. McCaffrey of Florida, N.Y., a retired Class A Mechanic for Con Edison for 38 years, entered into rest on Monday, Oct. 9, 2017. He was 70.
The son of Michael J. McCaffrey and Mary Lillian Knoblock McCaffrey, he was born Jan. 21, 1947, in Brooklyn.
Bob was an avid muscle car man who enjoyed working on cars. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
Survivors include his wife Ann Marie Reymaniak McCaffrey; son Robert McCaffrey of Middletown; son Matthew McCaffrey of Florida, N.Y.; three grandchildren: Emma, Gavin and Sean McCaffrey; one step grandchild, Jacob Pennings; sister, Kathleen McCaffrey of Far Rockaway; along with several nieces and nephew.
He was predeceased by three brothers: Francis, Richard and Michael McCaffrey.
Visitation will be held Friday, Oct. 13, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at T.S. Purta Funeral Home, 22 Glenmere Ave., Florida.
A Funeral Mass will be held 9:30 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 14, at St. Joseph Church, 20 Glenmere Ave., Florida.
Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery.
