Patricia H. Smyrychynski of Warwick passed away on June 30, 2023, at St. Anthony Community Hospital. She was 82 years old.
Born in the Bronx, on Aug. 5, 1940, she was the daughter of George and Josephine (nee Konsuit) DeVarennes.
Patricia was an administrative assistant for the Department of Social Services in Rockland County. Patricia was a loving and devoted mother, sister and aunt. The only thing she loved nearly as much as her family were the Smurfs.
Patricia was competitive playing Scrabble with anyone who would play. She enjoyed watching sports especially tennis which she could watch all day long.
Patricia is survived by her daughter Patty Smyrychynski of Port Jervis; and many nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews. She was predeceased by her daughter Ann F. Smyrychynski; and siblings Josephine and George.
The family thanks those who were supportive of her while she lived at home and at the hospital.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, July 22, from 10 to 11:30 a.m. with a funeral service at 11:30 a.m. at Lazear-Smith & Vander Plaat Memorial Home, 17 Oakland Ave., Warwick.
Burial will follow the service in Germonds Presbyterian Cemetery, 39 Germonds Road, New City.
