Mary Hebel of Warwick passed away at home, surrounded by her loving family, on Wednesday, Nov. 10, 2021. She was 56 years old.
Born in New Rochelle on Aug. 29, 1965, she was the daughter of Robert and Patricia (nee Bracken) Dupee.
Her family’s statement reads: “Mary was a one-of-a-kind mother and wife who many people loved. She was a loving, stubborn, strong and independent woman. She fought hard for the ones she loved and was always willing to lend a hand out to those who needed it.”
Mary worked at Christ Church in Warwick as a secretary for 12 years. She worked at Christine’s Child Care in Warwick with Christine Joyce, taking care of and watching over babies, toddlers and children.
She worked at Applewood Winery in Warwick with her friend Linda Garcia as a food server. She also worked at Warwick Town Hall for the ZBA board, recording and typing minutes.
Mary is survived by her husband Michael; daughters Patricia Hebel of Warwick and Melissa Hebel of Middletown; family friend Genesis Sales of Fort Greene BK; siblings Cathy Dupee of St. Petersburg, Fla., Chris Dupee of Shreveport, La., Bob Dupee of Congress, Rick McKay of Orangeburg and Joe McKay of Bountiful, Utah; siblings of Michael Hebel; Donna (nee Hebel) Beattie of Hawthorne N.J., Richard Hebel of Pinellas Park, Fla., Jeff Hebel of Fair Lawn, N.J., Steve Hebel of North Halden, N.J., Ed Hebel of Winchester, Va., and Bob Hebel of Riverdale N.J.; and many loving nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 20, at Christ Episcopal Church, 50 South St., Warwick.
