Marion Rosemarie von Hassel, a longtime resident of Orange County, N.Y., transitioned peacefully to paradise on Thursday April 14, 2022.
Marion was the daughter of the late Ernest and Margarethe Marquardt Helf who predeceased her.
She is survived by her loving family. Her daughter Ingrid and son-in-law Tom, her grandson Vincent and her great-grandchildren, her “cherubs” Alexander, Jayden, Gabriella, Xavier and Alaynah, who she always asked about, enjoying hearing about their accomplishments.
She attended high school in the Bronx and was voted most musical and most studious. She attended the Swedish Institute for Massage and was a proficient stenographer and typist. She loved the history of art and music, reading and could play five instruments, including the piano and violin.
She loved her coffee, more coffee, good food, intelligent conversation and having her family around her.
Later in life she loved to get her hair done, crossroads, word finds and live entertainment. “Ma and Oma” will be deeply missed. Thank you to everyone who took care of her. “Family is everything”.
There will be no services per her wishes.
