Longina Romaniuk of Suffern, formerly of Florida, N.Y., entered into rest on Tuesday, March 2, 2021. She was 93 years old.
The daughter of Stanlislaw Olejniczak and Maria Wolnowska, she was born on May 8, 1927, in Zastawie, Poland.
She is survived by her daughter Christina Romaniuk of Suffern; son Stefan Romaniuk (Christine) of Boston, Mass.; son John Romaniuk (Susan Sheridan) of Loudonville; grandchildren Jessica Dekermanji (Anthony) and Justin Romaniuk; great grandchildren Matteo and Olivia; sisters Eileen Stelmaszczyk (Marion) of Kinnelon, N.J., Irene Calderon (Tony) of Tenn., and Mary Coleman (Robert) of Florida, N.Y.; brothers Mickey Olejniczak, John Olejniczak (Martha) and Zygmund Olejniczak (Lona), all of Florida, N.Y.; along with numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband Jozef Romaniuk; stepmother Adela Draszek; and brothers Stanley and Tadeusz Olejniczak.
Visitation was held March 5 at T.S. Purta Funeral Home, 22 Glenmere Ave., Florida.
A funeral mass will be held March 6 at St. Joseph Church, 20 Glenmere Ave., Florida.
Burial was held in St. Joseph Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
