Linda M. Sayre, a lifetime resident of Warwick, passed away on Tuesday, Nov. 9, 2021, at Garnet Medical Center in the Town of Wallkill after a long illness. She was 69 years old.
Born April 4, 1952, in Warwick, she was the daughter of Walter and Ruth L. (née Quackenbush) Bierstine.
Linda was married to Harry Sayre III on April 21, 1979; that day it rained in the morning, giving life to the land. In the afternoon, the sun came out as if to say that something special was going to happen – their wedding.
Her family’s statement reads: “Linda was kind, caring, respectful, giving and a loving wife and mother. She always put others ahead of herself. She always found a way to make other people happy, that’s what made her happy.”
Linda is survived by her husband Harry III; son Harry IV who took good care of his mother; daughter Danielle; brother-in-law James and his wife Kathleen; sister-in-law Gia and her husband Jay Rowland; and grandchildren Drianna and Dalton Rudy.
Memorial visitation was held Nov. 17 at Lazear-Smith & Vander Plaat Memorial Home at 17 Oakland Ave., Warwick.
A Funeral Service was held Nov. 18 at the Warwick Reformed Church at 16 Maple Ave. in Warwick.
