Karen L. Humphrey

Karen L. Humphrey of Greenwood Lake passed away on Monday, Aug. 15, 2016, at Kaplan Family Hospice in Newburgh. She was 58 years old.
Born Jan. 27, 1958, in Suffern, she was the daughter of Harold and May Marchak Collins.
She was married to Merritt Humphrey.
Karen was formerly a bus attendant with the Monroe-Woodbury School District.
An avid gardener, she also loved all animals.
The family would like to say special thanks to the caring nurses at St. Anthony Community Hospital.
She is survived by her husband, Merritt; her children: Scott Humphrey and his wife Sara of Greenwood Lake, Lisa De Sisto and her husband Nick of Highland Mills and Brian Humphrey and his fiancé Jaclyn; her four grandchildren: Adelia, Vincent, Aiden and McKenzie; two sisters: Doreen Collins-Mandara of Oregon and Brenda De Miceli of Pennsylvania; and her best friend, Sharon Bacchiocchi.
She was predeceased by a brother, Harold Collins.
Memorial visitation will be on Saturday, Aug. 20, from 1 to 4 p.m. , at Lazear-Smith & Vander Plaat Memorial Home, 17 Oakland Ave., Warwick.
A memorial service will follow at 4 p.m.
