John Lambert Rudy of Middletown entered into rest on Sunday, Aug. 6, 2023, at home. He was 86 years old.
Lambert was born June 21, 1937, in Goshen, the son of John and Louise Rudy.
He was the owner of Lambert Landscape Maintenance.
Lambert was a kind, honest man who loved to joke. He loved John Deere and had both a toy tractor collection and a bucksaw collection.
After he retired from landscaping, he was head custodian at Harmony Baptist Church and School.
He enjoyed traveling and especially loved trips on the American Queen Paddlewheel with his wife. He was a loving husband and father and enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
We will miss him greatly.
He is survived by his wife Jean at home; son Hans Rudy and wife Angela of Westbrookville; daughter Wendy Rudy-Jones and husband John Jones of Wallkill; 12 grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
Visitation was held Aug. 10 at Donovan Funeral Home, Inc, 82 South Church St., Goshen.
The Funeral Service to Celebrate his life was held Aug. 11 at Harmony Baptist Church, 1790 Route 211 E., Middletown, with Pastor Dennis Ashley officiating.
Burial will follow in Warwick Cemetery.
