Johanna Pennings

Johanna Pennings of Goshen died Saturday, Feb. 21, 2015, at Orange Regional Medical Center in the Town of Wallkill.
She was the only child of Dutch parents Anton and Cornelia Blei. Raised on the farm, she was a farm girl at heart and her Dad’s right hand.
She graduated from Wallkill High School then married Jacob Pennings in 1943.
Jacob was also a dairy farmer of Dutch descent and together they raised 10 children: Marie Pennings, JoAnn Matthews, “Jack” Pennings, Adrian Pennings-deceased, Richard Pennings, Michael Pennings, Stephanie Yungman, Christine Schuster, Stephen Pennings and Adrianne Pennings.
She leaves behind 19 cherished grandchildren and as many greats.
She was predeceased by Jacob in March 2008.
The family would also like to express their love and admiration for their beautiful mother and grandmother - she will be greatly missed by all of us.
Also, thanks to the wonderful staff at Glen Arden for your care and support for Johanna over the past several years.
A Memorial Mass will be held at St. Stephen’s R.C. Church in Warwick at 11 a.m. on Saturday, March 21.
Burial of cremains will follow in St. Stephen’s Cemetery.
