Jane J. Dombrowski
Jane J. Dombrowski passed away on Sunday, June 4, 2017, at her home in Monroe. She was 81 years old.
The daughter of Joseph and Josephine Zabrotska Shadlowsky, she was born Dec. 8, 1935, in Passaic, N.J.
Jane was the widow of Leon C. Dombrowski.
She held a variety of positions working with people in Westchester, Rockland and Orange counties. She was an avid animal lover, a member of the NJ Pot Bellied Pig Association, the ASPCA and a Certified Pet Handler with the Delta Society. Jane visited many nursing homes, children’s hospitals, did both the Church World Service Crop Walk sponsored by the Area Monroe Interfaith Service Committee and St. John Divine Feast of St. Francis Blessing of the Animals in Manhattan, and worked with developmental disabled with her beloved, companion animal, Cornelius Aurelius.
Survivors include her sons: Charles J. Dombrowski of Livingston Manor, Michael J. Dombrowski of Warwick and Peter J. Dombrowski of Monroe; her three grandchildren: Jessica, Christopher and Nicholaus; and several nieces and nephews.
Jane was predeceased by her brothers Alex and Archie and her sister Frances.
Visitation was held from June 17 at Smith, Seaman & Quackenbush, Inc. Funeral Home in Monroe. A Chapel Service also was held at the funeral home followed by interment in Seamanville Cemetery, Monroe.
