Cheryl M. Roone died Sunday, May 16, 2021, at home in Florida, N.Y. She was 65 years old.
Cheryl was born Nov. 4, 1955, in Monroe, the daughter of William and Dawn (Campbell) Frees.
Cheryl worked at the Orange County Jail in Goshen as a corrections officer.
She is survived by her sons Brian Rooney and wife Kelly of Bloomingburg and Derek Rooney of Salisbury Mills; grandchildren Isabella Rooney and Aiden Gracia; her brother James Frees and wife Claudia; sisters Linda Diaz and husband Ralph and Lori Montuori and husband Patrick; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, Bill and Dawn Frees.
Visitation will be Friday, May 21, from 4 to 7 p.m. at Donovan Funeral Home, Inc., 82 South Church St., Goshen, with the service at 6:45 p.m.
Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
