Austin Decker Jr.

Austin Decker Jr. of Warwick entered into rest on Sunday, Oct. 7, 2018. He was 81 years old.
He was the beloved son of Austin Decker Sr. and Catherine Hines, born on Jan. 29, 1937, in Middletown.
He proudly served in the U.S. Army from 1957 to 1959.
Austin was the second generation owner of Austin Decker and Sons Plumbing and Heating, as well as Central Water Systems Installations, Inc.
He was a member of the Cortlandt Yacht Club, the Florida Band and St. Stephens Church. He also was an avid fisherman.
Austin is survived by his wife of 58 years, Marlene (Wanamaker) Decker at home; his sons Austin Roy Decker and Michael Roy Decker and wife Denice of Warwick; three grandchildren: Reese Joseph, Sarah and Jessica; “daughters” Lisa Rose Decker and Glynn Zhiem; and sister, Sandra Decker.
Visitation was held Oct. 11 at Lazear-Smith & Vander Plaat Memorial Home in Warwick.
A Funeral Mass will be held Oct. 12 at St. Stephen R.C. Church in Warwick.
Interment followed the mass in Orange County Veterans Cemetery in Goshen.
