Anthony Peter Aubert died Saturday, Dec. 30, 2017, at Schervier Pavilion in Warwick. He was 88.
Born in New York City and raised in the Bronx, the son of Pedro and Nicolasa Aubert, he was a lifelong resident of New York.
Tony was an Army veteran of the Korean War and worked for the New York City Transit Authority at the Coney Island Train Yard.
He had a passion for the arts and humanities, poetry, Latin music and dance.
He was married to his beloved wife, Katherine Aubert, for 61 years before she passed away in 2015.
He is survived by this identical twin daughters, Vienna Aubert and Gloria Rangel, and grandchildren Vienna Allen, Anthony Tomesheski, Emily Aubert and Theresa Rangel.
Tony was also a great-grandfather to Grace and Julian Tomesheski and Shepherd, Emmalyn and Melinda Allen. He is also survived by his son-in-law Ralph Rangel, granddaughter-in-law Elizabeth Cherry-Tomesheski.
A memorial service was held on June 26 at the Warwick Reformed Church. Interment followed in Orange County Veterans Cemetery in Goshen.
