Anna Isola

Anna Isola of Warwick (and formerly of Union City, N.J.), passed away on Wednesday, Oct. 21, 2015, at her home. She was 82 years old.

Born March 20, 1933, in Jersey City, N.J., she was the daughter of Salvatore and Carmela (Losardo) Militello and stepdaughter of Giuseppe Gentile.

She was the widow of Francesco (Frank) Isola, who passed away in 2001.

A homemaker, Anna was a member of St. Stephen's Church and St. Stanislaus Church. She was formerly a cook at the Holy Rosary Academy in Union City, N.J.

She is survived by her children: Maryann Leppert and son-in-law Bob of Warwick, Frank Isola and daughter-in-law Constance of Rutherford, N.J., Joseph Isola and daughter-in-law Rosita of Union City, N.J., Samuel Isola and daughter-in-law Lisa of Rutherford, N.J., Theresa Warren and son-in-law Andy of Warwick, Louise Weller and son-in-law Lynn of Warwick, Anthony Isola and daughter-in-law Catherine of Circleville and Michael Isola of Warwick; 15 grandchildren; and a sister, Frances Kinney of Garfield, N.J.; and nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by a sister, Josephine Graziano.

The family would like to extend their special thanks to St. Anthony Hospital, Schervier Pavilion,Orange Regional Medical Center, Dr. Cappelleri, Dr. Dermigny, Dr. Fink, Dr. Bezdicek and Dr. Koulova for their kind care for Anna during her illness.

Visitation will be on Friday, Oct. 23, from 4 to 8 p.m. at Lazear-Smith & Vander Plaat Memorial Home, 17 Oakland Ave., Warwick.

A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 24, at St. Stanislaus R.C. Church, 17 Pulaski Highway, Pine Island, followed by interment in Weekawken Cemetery in North Bergen, N.J.
