Amelia “Amy” Frances Lawlor of Warwick passed away peacefully at home with her family by her side on Sunday, June 21, 2020. She was 69 years old.

Born July 12, 1950, in Warwick, she was the daughter of George M. and Sarah F. (nee Sorrells) Feldner,

A graduate of Warwick Valley High and Drew University, Amy held a Bachelor of Arts in Music and freely shared her talents to touch the hearts of many.

Amy was a former member of the Warwick United Methodist Church and organist there since 1964. She was currently the organist for the Sugar Loaf United Methodist Church.

Amy was an executive assistant at WVT Communications in Warwick and wrote the “Looking Back” column of the Warwick Valley Dispatch for many years.

She is survived by her three children: Matthew J. Lawlor and his wife Julia Brock of Keene, N.H.; Sarah L. Wilson and her husband Jason of Goshen; and Amy E. Lawlor of Chicago, Ill. She will always be known as “The Best Oma Ever” by her three grandchildren: Amelia R., Ernest J. and Matilda E. Lawlor. Also surviving; three brothers: James H. Feldner and his wife Mary; Emmitt B. Feldner and his wife Teresa; and G. Martin Feldner and his wife Nydia. She was predeceased by her brother, Charles F. Feldner

Visitation was held June 24 at Lazear-Smith & Vander Plaat Memorial Home, 17 Oakland Ave., Warwick.

Cremation will be private.

Due to the COVID-19 restrictions, a memorial service will be planned at a future time when all can attend.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in her memory may be made to Hospice of Orange and Sullivan Counties, 800 Stony Brook Court Newburgh, NY 12550.
