Alfred G. Atkins

Alfred G. Atkins of Warwick passed away on Friday, Aug. 18, 2017, at home. He was 68 years old.
Born on July 15, 1949, in Brooklyn, he was the son of Alfred Atkins and Ann (Stortz) Atkins.
He was married to Lisa M. (Mullen) Atkins.
Alfred was a bartender at Coquitos in Warwick.
Alfred had a love of all people and was always there to help someone in need. He was seen by many as a father figure, confidant and a sounding board. He will be sorely missed.
He is survived by his wife, Lisa of Warwick; his daughter, Laine Atkins of Warwick; his son, Matthew Atkins of Queens; his grandson, Dean Grill; his father, Alfred Atkins and his wife Margaret, of Freeport, Long Island; and his sister, Kathy Keller of Valley City, Ohio.
Visitation was Aug. 22 at Lazear-Smith & Vander Plaat Memorial Home in Warwick.
Funeral services followed.
Private cremation.
