Historical Society bids farewell to Frangos

WARWICK - On Sat., Oct. 22, members of The Town of Warwick Historical Society bid a fond farewell to Tom and Joan Frangos at a reception held in their honor at the historic Baird Tavern. Don Lomax, president of the Society, presented the Frangos, who are moving to Florida, with flowers and certificates of appreciation. Joan served as a trustee and chaired the Society’s “Under the Tent Party.” She was one of the original members of the committee for the first Harvest to Holly Walking Tour of the historic buildings. Tom served as first vice president and trustee, handled much of the Society’s grant activities, and was a member of the original committee for Harvest to Holly. He was the chair of the Strategic Planning Committee to reorganize the Society and one of the architects of the Society’s mission statement.
