Elizabeth and Frank Mikulski celebrate their golden anniversary

Florida - Elizabeth A. Shuback and Frank S. Mikulski celebrated their golden wedding anniversary on Oct. 15 at St. Joseph’s Banquet Hall in Florida, attended by 140 family and friends. Seven members of their bridal party also attended. The couple were married Oct. 13, 1956, at St. Joseph’s. The anniversary celebration was given by their four children: Doris (Rich) Tomczak, JoAnn (Louie) Jados, Floyd and Frank, and their 10 grandchildren. Their son, Frank Jr., and his three children surprised his parents by coming home from Missoula, Montana. Elizabeth is a homemaker. Both she and Frank have been self-employed onion farmers in Pine Island. Mr. Mikulski is a Korean War veteran. The couple received a letter of congratulations from President and Mrs. George W. Bush. A Golden Jubilee Mass in their honor will be celebrated on Sunday, Nov. 19 at St. Joseph Church in Florida. It will be officiated by the Rev. Joseph Tokarczyk.
