The Warwick Town Democratic Committee invites 11th and 12th graders who reside in or attend a school in the town of Warwick to submit an essay on the topic of moral choice.

Students should consider a time in their lives when they were faced with right or wrong, acting for the good of all versus what may be good for the self, or other instances where courage, conviction and moral clarity were required in decision making.

One winner will be chosen. The winner will be honored at the Warwick Town Democratic Committee’s annual dinner on Sunday, May 17, and will receive a $250 scholarship.

The deadline for entry is Friday, April 16.

Essays should be submitted as an attachment to warwicknydems@gmail.com.

Send with the subject line Moral Choice Essay Contest and be sure to include your name, school, grade and contact information.

They may also be mailed to 11 Horseshoe Lane, Warwick, NY 10990.

The committee said it welcomes and encourages all Warwick students to enter this non-partisan, apolitical essay contest to share their experiences.

The winner will be notified by May 1.
