Thank you 'for helping Dulce Esperanza contribute to creating a better future'

An open letter to the Warwick Community:

On behalf of the Warwick Area Migrant Committee, I would like to thank the many people and organizations that have contributed their time and resources to our summer enrichment program Dulce Esperanza - Sweet Hope.

WAMC celebrates its 60th anniversary this year. The summer program is one of our most important offerings. It provides the children of local farm workers a safe, loving environment filled with opportunities to explore the arts, practice academic and social skills, enjoy new experiences, go on field trips and just have fun.

This summer, 85 students were bused to the Pine Island Elementary School from Warwick, Goshen, Florida, Chester and Minisink. The seven-week program ran from 9-5 to accommodate the long workdays of the farm workers.

Dulce Esperanza is making a difference, right here in Warwick for all of these children and their families. The program would not have been possible without our many supporters. We have you to thank for helping Dulce Esperanza contribute to creating a better future.
