The Warwick Advertiser’s first-ever wrapping paper contest is underway. Local kids are invited to submit their artwork to be turned into wrapping paper printed across multiple pages in The Warwick Advertiser’s December 17 edition.

Children are invited to create their wrapping paper masterpiece on an 8.5 x 11 piece of paper, using bold, bright colors. Artwork created via crayon, pencils, markers and paint will be accepted. No creating art via the computer, or using store-bought stamps or stencils. Kids are, however, able to make and use their own stencils and stamps (from potatoes, sponges, erasers, etc.)

A panel of judges will pick six semi-finalists from three age groups:

- Six and under

- Seven through ten

- Eleven through thirteen

All semi-finalists’ designs will be announced and featured in the paper and online for voting.

The design with the most votes will be tiled across two pages in the December 17 edition to be used as wrapping paper for the thousands of readers who receive the Warwick Advertiser each week.

To enter, drop off your child’s artwork at any of the participating retailers, including:

- Forever Jewelers

- Frazzleberries

- Newhard’s

- Style Counsel

- Track 7

- Warwick Valley Olive Oil

- Jean Claude’s Bakery
