Works by owner of Warwick's Strazza Art Gallery featured in German museum

Eberdingen-Nussdorf, Germany — John Strazza, art photographer and co-owner of the Strazza Art Gallery on Main Street in Warwick, is celebrating his first museum exhibit.

Strazza has several pieces being featured at the prestigious Kunstwerk Art Museum in Germany. The show titled, "Ankommen" meaning arrive, is currently on display until January 5, 2014.

Strazza's work is well known regionally and rapidly growing internationally. His photographs are collected by both corporate and private art buyers and now over 15 of his pieces have been acquired by the Kunstwerk. The beautiful five-story museum was recently named by Art News magazine as having one of the top 200 art collections in the world.

"His photographs are emotional and striking images of New York City and were shot mostly in black and white film in the genre of street photography," said his wife and fellow artist, Lisa. "Much of his work includes the beauty and emotion of the everyday, from walking the busy city streets, to views on and about the Hudson River and into lower Manhattan. His unique artistic style and fine quality prints seem to draw in the viewer and rekindle their nostalgic love for photography."

Strazza's latest work includes a minimalist 16-piece photo installation of the Jersey shore and a very unique series of photos taken at Warwick's drive in theatre.

John Strazza and his wife, Lisa opened their original gallery in New York City in 2007. The Strazza Art Gallery, 24 Main Street, is now located in the Village of Warwick.

The gallery is open all year round every day except Wednesday.
