Theatre company to present The Bobs'
Sugar Loaf Kings Theatre Company will present the acappella group “The Bobs” at 8 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 7, at the Lycian Centre for the Performing Arts on Kings Highway in Sugar Loaf. The contemporary acappella quartet fuses music, theatre and comedy. They are known for their witty, tuneful, original material and outrageous covers of classic songs. Richard “Bob” Greene, Matthew “Bob” Stull, Amy “Bob” Engelhardt, and Dan “Bob” Schumacher present a show that is part theatre, part comedy, and part performance art, using just their voices and body percussion. “The Bobs’ prove that the human voice remains the most powerful instrument of all,” read the Washington Post. “A marriage of Barenaked Ladies and Manhattan Transfer truly off the beaten path,” stated the Miami Herald. Tickets are $22 for adults and $15 for youth 18 years and younger. Call 469-2287, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., Tuesday through Saturday.
