Chester Patsy Cline, the award-winning and revered country singer, is the subject of “The Life & Loves of Patsy Cline.” The performance will be held at 8:30 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, June 16 and 17, at Bodles Opera House at 39 Main St. in Chester. Patricia Mazo, owner-manager of Bodles, will pay tribute to Cline through a musical biography that will feature not only Cline’s hit songs, but an “interview” with the beloved singer at the pinnacle of her career in the early 60s. It began in 1957, when the spirited Virginia gal was the winner on “Arthur Godfrey’s Talent Scouts.” Her popularity remains high, long after she died in a plane crash in 1963 at the age of 31. This faux interview is based on facts that Mazo uncovered from hours of personal research. Intertwined with live performances and interjections, this is a show of love, respect, and admiration for the “Best Damnednest Girl Singer In The World,” Virginia Patterson Hensley, better known as Patsy Cline. Mazo will be joined by: Don Lane, steel guitar; Mike Baglione, acoustic guitar; Wayne Fugate, mandolin; Tom Martin, drums; Piet Koster, upright bass; Dave Myers, piano; and Suzy Arnowitz, Maureen Morrissey, and Catherine Johnson, backup vocals. Doors will open at 6:30 p.m. Tickets are $40, for dinner and show. For reservations, call 469-4595 or visit www.bodles.com.
