WARWICK — Three longtime Warwick residents are now in rehearsal, infusing A.R. Gurney’s play, “Love Letters,” with voice. This production is a fund raiser for the Warwick Historical Society - specifically toward the upkeep and finishing of the A.W. Buckbee Center (old library). “Love Letters” will have two performances: Saturday, Feb. 11, at 8 p.m. and Sunday, Feb. 12, at 3 p.m. Gurney’s play features two characters, Andy and Melissa, who have been friends since grade school and carried on a relationship for 50 years, through letters and notes, marriages and divorce. Steve Carras and Shannah Whitney play the characters. This is the second play for both actors and the director, Jim Boerlin, that has been produced by the Warwick Historical Society. Two years ago, Boerlin directed “Our Town” at the Old School Baptist Meeting House. Tickets are $30 per person. The play is an hour long with a short break in the middle. Refreshments will be served when you arrive and again, after the production, when you will meet the cast. Call 986-3236 or send an e-mail to whs@warwick.net for reservations.
